Algerian International Defender On Norwich City’s Radar

|

Norwich City’s planning for the Premier League is already at an advanced stage with targets having been identified some time ago.

The Scouting network and recruitment team have unearthed gems like Emi Buendia and Teemu Pukki who contributed massively to this season but what about next?

I’ve tried to bring you as many of the transfer links that I come across and here’s another.

Rennes right back, Mehdi Zeffane is being reported as a Norwich target by French sports web site, le10sport and reported here by the EDP.

Ivo Pinto looks certain to leave the club in the summer, having played only the smallest part in the season. He started the season injured and initially, Ben Marshall played at right-back before being replaced by Max Aarons in early September at Portman Road in the 1-1 draw. Marshall also appears to have no real future at Carrow Road.

So who is this new lad?

Well, he’s a French-born Algerian,  26 years old and he made 18 appearances in Ligue 1 this season, having joined Rennes from Lyon in 2015. He is also an Algerian international with 11 appearances for his national side.

Crucially he is also out of contract in the summer and he has Europa League experience too.

There is likely to be a lot of interest in this lad but the lure of the Premier League could help with that, nice to be in that position, eh?
