Tony Andreu has returned to Norwich City from his loan spell at Rotherham having made 11 appearances for The Millers, scoring 2 goals.

‘He’s been performing well of late,’ Millers Manager Neil Redfearn told Radio Sheffield, ‘playing well against Preston and taking his goal really well.’

‘But he wanted to go back and have a conversation with Alex Neil and Alex told him he was going to be involved in his plans.

‘And that’s one of the drawbacks of having loans coming in. But the other way of looking at it is that it’s a wage freed up.

‘But Tony goes with our best wishes. He’s an excellent pro and a good player and he’s performed well for us.’

Interesting that Alex Neil wants to involve him now. He was unable to ‘step up’ to the required level after his arrival in January but perhaps he is now at that level, as Vadis seems to be.

Vadis’ recent performances have made it seem like we have a new player, perhaps Tony can do the same.

Fingers crossed.
