According to The Daily Mirror, Arsene Wenger is interested in bringing John Ruddy to Arsenal to challenge Wojciech Szczesny for the number one goal keeping position at The Emirates stadium.
Lukasz Fabianski has allowed his contract to run down and has rejected the offer of a new one, with Schalke and Borussia Dortmund keeping a close eye on the situation.
That means Wenger would certainly be in the market for another goal keeper and Szczesny has not always shown his manager that he has applied himself well enough.
If Arsenal bid, an offer of at least £6m would seem to be the minimum City would expect from the 27 year old who has three years left on a contract he only signed last autumn.
JR would also have to be confident he could displace Szczesny from the first team, otherwise a season of cup football could beckon and the board would have to want to sell.
Ruddy would be a massive player to lose, so fingers crossed all the talk from the board is correct about not having to sell players as well as JR not having his head turned.
