England U21 striker Dean Ashton is still a major doubt for Norwich ahead of the weekends visit by Millwall. Ashton has not been able to head a ball since he came off in the first half of the game v Hull.

He fractured a sinus cavity during the defeat to Reading and the pain proved too much.

Worthington has said he will be given as much time as possible to recover. ‘He will have a test at the last minute. He’s not allowed to head the ball until the next day or so. We will have to see what he’s like. He’s trained well enough and he has worked hard. It’s a case of how comfortable he is. By Saturday he will have to have the all-clear to get on with it. It will be down to Dean.’

Ashton has confirmed he will only play if he feels 100% fit as he is determined not to make the same mistake he did by playing against Hull.
