Badlan Leaves Norwich For Coventry

|

In a rather interesting twist tonight, Chris Badlan has left Norwich City to take up the role of Head of Recruitment at Coventry City.

Badlan joined Norwich in May 2017, having been brought to the club by Stuart Webber, as Head of European Scouting.

Prior to that he had been Head of Emerging Talent at Wolves, which is where he had previously worked with Webber.

There has been no word from Norwich City about Badlan’s departure, how it came about or, what it means going forward.

My immediate thoughts are that I don’t think there’s any need to panic or overly worry. Stuart Webber has shown that he is nothing if not determined, focused on the job in hand and always got a Plan B, at least it looks like that from the outside.

I imagine we will hear more in due course but would assume that the European scouting network simply needs a new person at the top to oversee things.
