Besiktas Reach Agreement With Norwich Over Striker

|

Norwich City and Besiktas have agreed a deal in principle for the loan/sale of out of favour Nelson Oliveira in January according to Foto Spor in Turkey.

Oliveira took little part in the Canaries’ pre-season and other than a couple of U23 Development outings, he has not been involved this season.

Here’s a Google Translate account of what’s being reported by Foto Spor.

“Nelson Oliveira in Besiktas is getting seriously … First contact was made for the Portuguese player in Norwich. In the Championship, the British team was offered the option to purchase a lease. The principle agreement was reached between the two sides. On the other hand, there are big differences of opinion.

Besiktas, Oliveira, 6 months to rent, then if the conditions comply, wants to get bonservisini 3 million euros.

Norwich is looking forward to renting Oliveira for 6 months and 1.5 years. But the British wants to hire the Portuguese scorer at the end of the year with the option to buy it.

Besiktas, in January, if the purchase of 2 million euros, in June, if the 500 thousand + 3 million euros can be increased. The British now sold 3 million euros, the option to close the book again added to the list.”

As ever with translations, it’s not exactly clear what is being agreed to but from this, it would seem to be a six month loan, which would take us to the end of the season.

Then there could be a sale, somewhere in the region of €2-3m.

That’s quite a drop in value for a player that City reportedly rejected a £12m bid from Reading only 18 months ago.

Anyway, either way, it looks as though Nelson could be on his way in January.
