Middlesbrough have started negotiations with Norwich City over the transfer of Jonny Howson reports the Northern Echo
Howson has been the subject of much discussion lately with talk in the papers being that the combative midfielder is available for around £5m.
The Echo suggest that ‘Boro would like to pay only £4m though.
Of course they would, why wouldn’t they?
With Leeds United also circling, I happen to think Jonny is worth a bit more than the £5m mentioned and that with two years left on his current contract, a figure closer to £7-8m would be more realistic.
We’ll see.
