Brentford boss Andy Scott was pleased with his side’s effort during yesterday’s 1-0 defeat against Norwich City at Carrow Road.

The Canaries had to play with ten men for fifty minutes after Grant Holt was sent off for a horrible tackle on Toumani Diagouraga, but despite being unable to break the hosts down Scott told Brentford’s official web site after the game that he was very pleased the the Bee’s effort.

‘We had some excellent chances,’ he said. ‘We hit the post, Myles Weston missed a re-bound.

‘Their keeper got Man of the Match, that tells you everything.

‘Wojciech made some good saves but you expect your goalkeeper to have to make saves here.

‘We switched off at the vital moment, Chris Martin is in good form and he scored.

‘I’m proud of the way we played, we were well in the game when it was 11 v 11.

‘We kept it comfortable into half time and were growing in stature.

‘To come away with no points is disappointing.’
