Norwich City have had an offer for Brighton & Hove Albion’s Elliott Bennett accepted according to Vital Brighton.

The deal is said to worth over £1m including add-ons and would bring an end to a chase that began during the January transfer window, when the Seagulls rejected two approaches for the star winger.

Bennett scored eight times last season as Brighton cruised to the League One title, but his record of twenty assists is far more impressive.

The news comes hot on the heels of Leeds rejecting a £3.5m bid from the Canaries for Robert Snodgrass, and 24 hours after the club finally came to an agreement with Millwall to sign Steve Morison.
