Cameron Jerome is the subject of a four way Championship tussle this January reports The Sun

Derby County, Birmingham, Sunderland and Cardiff City are all reportedly keen on the 31 year old striker, who has just one league goal to his name this season.

The Sun also reckon that he is available for as little as £1.5m as Norwich look to shift his high salary off the wage bill, although Daniel Farke would rather keep him in the squad.

Jerome has another 18 months left on his hefty deal with the club holding another 12 month option, which now looks to have been another poor decision by the club.

You would assume that selling Cam would free up money for a replacement, although an experienced striker at this level would certainly not be replacing him. Most likely it`ll be a Bundesliga 2 lad, which is where we seem to shop these days.

  • It?s 2018 and let?s be positive. The mess made by Chris Hughton and Alex Neil were felt strongly in 2017. The lucky part is along came a sporting director and head coach who finally believed in youth. James Maddison and Alex Pritchard played regularly and Nelson Oliveira finally gets the nod over the ineffective Cameron Jerome. The likes of Russell Martin and Steven Naismith were left out of the squad after some abysmal performance early in the season. There were certainly some astute signings in the form of Trybull and Zimmerman, although there were some bad ones too (Vrancic, Husband, Reed). Overall, the playing staff has a certain degree of potential, and while there might be some high profile departures inevitably, the club is still on a stable ground. While money may buy success, Norwich is clearly doing it another way (how much would Jamal Lewis and Sean Raggatt cost?), and while it may be painful now, the success it brings is much longer compared to buying it with cold hard cash.
