Cardiff City are on the verge of securing a loan deal for Norwich Winger, Yanic Wildschut it is being reported this morning in an exclusive by the EDP

Yanic only joined the Canaries last January and has struggled to make an impact at Carrow Road, having been in and out of the team.

The 26 year old Dutchman has only made 13 starts in the last 12 months after Norwich paid Wigan around £4m for his services, as a sort of replacement for Robbie Brady.

There`s been much to moan about from the stands with Yanic`s performances, so often his direct style (which I like) has no end product. There is clearly a footballer somewhere inside him though, as he is pacy, very direct and not afraid to take people on. It`s just that he hasn`t done it consistently and that`s why he generally warms the bench.

It was his run that led to James Maddison scoring at Portman Road this season and he also finished off a nice move with the winner at Bramall Lane too.

The deal is set to be confirmed before the weekend and could result in a permanent deal in the summer, the EDP reports.

With 18 months left on his contract, Norwich will look to recoup as much of the fee they paid Wigan as they can, but I fear it won`t be £4m.
