The Tuckster reports as Norwich City complete the late capture of Spurs’ U19 England striker, Harry Kane.

After a day of very little substance in terms of transfer news for the Canaries, Norwich City have announced the signing on a season long loan of Harry Kane.

Kane is 19 years old and has been loaned to City by Tottenham.

He is a 6’2′ striker and has spent time on loan at both Leyton Orient and Millwall. Last season he was on loan at Millwall and scored10 goals in 28 appearances, forming a useful partnership with Andy Keogh.

Becoming a regular at U19 International level he has played 19 times and scored 6 goals for England.

Chris Hughton said ‘I am delighted to bring in someone of Harry’s quality. He is a very talented player with bags of potential.’

Well, we needed a striker and although we left it very late, apparently there was an extension to allow completion of the loan, we have one. Having clearly not fancied James Vaughan, Hughton has made his move. He has gone for youth and hunger over experience. Something that Paul Lambert has made a managerial career out of.

Is Kane the answer? We’ll soon find out…
