The Tuckster with news of a done deal…

The BBC have reported that City will sign striker Kei Kamara, subject to a work permit from Sporting Kansas City.

Kamara, 28, scored 11 in 33 games for the MLS side last season.

Originally from Sierra Leone, he moved to the USA as a youngster and started his professional career with Columbus Crew.

Kamara has also played for San Jose (with Darren Huckerby) and Houston Dynamo before joining Kansas in 2009.

Hughton has justified the signing in an interview with Radio Norfolk: “I don’t think it’s about the league they play in.

“We would always have to have good reasons for liking a particular player.”

Kamara will initially join on a loan deal until May 2013, which one would assume will give Chris Hughton a chance to take a good look at the lad with a view to something more permanent.

One down, two to go.
