Norwich City took a deserved point from Pride Park on Wednesday night in an entertaining game, albeit one that was short on real clear cut chances.
Daniel Farke named an unchanged side to the one that had seen the Canaries win the last four league games in a row, despite one or two feelings (from me) that Mario Vrancic was on the verge of a start.
It was another decent performance from Norwich as they extended their unbeaten run.
Timm Klose opened the scoring from a Buendia corner on 69 minutes with an unmarked free header and it looked as though the Yellows might hold on, only for Craig Bryson to equalise with just four minutes to go.
Derby pushed at the end but a draw was a fair result, I’d say.
There were several decent performances with Leitner and Tettey being instrumental in the centre and some hard work right across the back four, not forgetting some good stuff from Buendia, Stiepermann and Cantwell too.
When called upon as well, Tim Krul had a very good game.
Derby is a tough place to go and the Rams were competent and organised, as you’d expect. I didn’t really see them scoring after City had gone ahead but the home side’s overall play did deserve a goal.
All in all, a draw was just about right as City moved back into the play off places (5th), four points off top spot with Stoke up next, at home on Saturday.
