Norwich City are represented in the latest Football League team of the week that has been selected after this week’s action.

The performance by Mitchell Dijks in the one nil victory over Cardiff City at the weekend at the Cardiff City Stadium was enough to earn them a place in the side alongside the other most impressive performers in the Football League pyramid.

I think we’ll already know ourselves, and not just based on the latest performance, why Dijks was selected as part of the team but explaining the choice – the FL blurb read.

‘Dijks` first game in English football was an impressive one, earning the Man of the Match award for his performance in Norwich’s 1-0 victory at Cardiff City. The on-loan Ajax defender gave the Bluebirds no room to manoeuvre, helping the Canaries to a third straight win which leaves them just three points away from the top six.’

It’s always good to see the club represented in this way, and well played to Dijks for his recognition, but the most important thing about the weekend was of course the points.

Full Team:

James McKeown (Grimsby Town), Cheick Keita (Birmingham City), Jake Cooper (Millwall), Peter Clarke (Oldham Athletic), Michael Hefele (Huddersfield Town), Mitchell Dijks (Norwich City), David Vaughan (Nottingham Forest), John Fleck (Sheffield United), David Wheeler (Exeter City), Tom Lawrence (Ipswich Town), Matty Godden (Stevenage).

Manager – Phil Brown (Southend United).
