The Canaries welcome Gary Doherty, Korey Smith and Darel Russell back to the squad for tomorrow’s League One game at Wycombe Wanderers (3pm).

Doherty will partner Michael Nelson after returning from suspension, in a back four most likely to include Adam Drury and Russell Martin.

In midfield, Darel Russell has recovered from a hamstring injury and Korey Smith from a thigh strain, but Stephen Hughes is rated ad doubtful after suffering a calf injury in the Boxing Day win over Millwall.

City boss Paul Lambert returns to one of his old stomping grounds, and told canaries.co.uk that he is looking forward to it.

‘I had a great time there I really did, I really enjoyed it. It’s always a club I always look for to see how they’re getting on and hopefully do alright,’ he said.

‘I had a really good time there and we just missed out, getting beat by Stockport in the play-off and the cup run was brilliant – that was a fairy tale thing that happened there – especially the teams that we played to get there, the lads did great and it was a special time, I really enjoyed it.’

This match is a sell-out for City supporters, with over 2,000 heading to Adams Park tomorrow. The club are therefore advising fans not to travel to the game without a ticket, as you’ll only leave disappointed!
