Daniel Farke and James Maddison have been nominated for manager and player of the month for September.

In what is hardly surprising news, City’s Head Coach and midfield starlet, who have both had a storming month, are on their respective short lists, who knew?!

Farke oversaw a dramatic turnaround of fortunes for Norwich as he guided the Canaries to four wins and two draws in the league with just one league goal conceded in the whole month. City also beat Brentford 1-3 to progress in the Carabao Cup.

The other manager of the month nominees are:

Steve Bruce (Aston Villa), Lee Johnson (Bristol City) and our old mate, Alex Neil (Preston North End). If Alex were to win it then I expect the PNE fans would still be hearing about it next spring 😉

The judging panel comprises of George Burley, Sky Sports’ EFL Expert Don Goodman, EFL Marketing Director Drew Barrand, League Managers’ Association Director Olaf Dixon and Sky Bet EFL Trader Mikey Mumford.

James Maddison has been nominated for Championship player of the month after a terrific month, during which he was instrumental in City’s climb up the table and he also scored two barn storming goals to boot, at Middlesbrough and Reading.

The other players shortlisted are Aden Flint (Bristol City), Sam Johnstone (Aston Villa) and Dioga Jota (Wolves).

The judging panel for this one comprises of Sky Sports’ EFL Expert Don Goodman, League Managers’ Association Director Olaf Dixon and Sky Bet EFL Trader Mikey Mumford.

The winners will be announced tomorrow (Friday, in case you don’t know what day it is).

Good luck to both.
