News tonight from Sweden that Norwich City have agreed a fee with Blackburn Rovers for their Swedish International defender, Martin Olsson.

Swedish online paper Expressen SE, are carrying the story and suggest that Blackburn have agreed a fee with a Premier League club and that the decision will now rest with the player.

The paper state that ‘English sources’ suggest that club is Norwich.

At this stage there is nothing official and it is a report in a Swedish paper but I thought that you guys would like to know about it.

As we have seen recently with Ola Toivonen, agreeing a fee and signing a player are two things that are entirely different.

But, this player’s name has been linked with City in recent weeks and it does seem that there may be no smoke without fire.

He would certainly be an improvement to our squad and great competition for Javier Garrido in the battle for the left back berth, which Javier had to himself last season.

More news if and when this story develops…
