Leroy Fer is Norwich City’s only representative at this summer’s World Cup finals in Brazil and says he is content to wait until after the tournament is over before seeing what the future holds for him.

Fer had a mixed first season in England and at times looked sensational while at others looked disinterested. Due to a number of injuries to key players, Fer has found himself in Louis van Gaal’s 23 man squad for the finals and says nothing will be decided over his future until it’s all over.

“First I want to concentrate on the World Cup, then we will see what happens,” said Fer. “I am going to the World Cup as a player for Norwich. They are a very good team but they have had some ups and downs as well. I have to do my best and just play.”

The bottom line is that if he performs well than David McNally’s phone will be ringing off the hook with offers for him. He has all the attributes to be a top player and is still very young, so we’ll wait and see.
