Free Scoring Forward Confirms Talks With Norwich Are “Well On The Way”

|

Danel Sinani is talking to Norwich City about a summer move and according to the player himself, “talks are well on the way.”

Sinani was heavily linked with the Canaries in the last knockings of the January transfer window but despite being out of contract in the summer with his current club, a deal seemingly could not be agreed with the 22-year-old.

The Luxembourg international plays for F91 Dudelange in the Luxembourg BGL Ligue and he notched another hat-trick last weekend in his first game since the mid-winter break. That takes Sinani’s tally for the season so far to 24 goals in 27 appearances in all competitions, which includes the Champions League, Europa League and Luxembourg’s Euro qualifying campaign.

Sinani has been talking to Luxembourg paper Le Quotidien and that’s reported here by the Pink ‘Un.

“I can confirm that Norwich are very interested in my services, but I haven’t signed with them,” he said.

“Let’s say that talks are well on their way. It’s a club that plays in the Premier League, and even if they aren’t well placed, it remains a very good level. It’s simply the best league in the world.

I’m not scared of that second division. Have you seen the games they play there? It remains very strong. It’s a competition that’s better than some top division elsewhere in Europe.

What’s certain is that I won’t be playing in Luxembourg for 2020-21. As I said, things are very advanced with Norwich. They absolutely want me, but we have to see how things can or will be finalised. I haven’t been to visit the infrastructures, but that’s planned. The two parties just need to find the time.”

Despite his incredible scoring stats, you have to consider the level that Sinani is playing at, which is incomparable to the Premier League, obviously. Having said that, the Recruitment Team plucked Emi Buendia from the Spanish second division and he’s not turned out to be too bad.
