Norwich City travel to the Midlands for their next Premier League game against Aston Villa on Saturday (3pm).

Norwich won the reverse fixture in late December with a comfortable 2-0 victory but after recent results and a run of five games in a row that have ended in defeat, City need a win.

Aston Villa are ten points off 17th place, currently occupied by Norwich and that means the home side have to win this game. No if’s no but’s, anything but a win is not an option.

Villa manager, Remi Garde knows this too.

He said: ‘Norwich is a tremendously important game. It’s a big match.

‘I hope we will remember the game we had there. It was a tough match there. It will be the time for us to win.

‘We have no choice now. We would have liked something at West Ham before the Norwich game. But unfortunately, that’s football.

‘The spirit the players showed at Upton Park was brilliant – it was the same we showed in the previous games. We will have to keep that.

‘I was very proud of the way they reacted to all the stuff against us. The players did what they could.’

No doubt, when Alex Neil speaks at his Friday presser, that he will have something similar to say.
