Steven Naismith will join Hearts on loan in the next 48 hours according to the Daily Record
Presumably the loan will be for the rest of the season, with Naismith clearly keen to be playing regularly and Norwich just as keen to shift his salary off the wage bill.
The former Kilmarnock and Rangers forward is rumoured to be City`s highest paid player but he hasn`t featured for the first team since an early Carabao Cup excursion last August. He`s been injured since getting crocked by Grant Hanley in training last September but has been fit for weeks now.
Neither of those two former clubs seem to have been actively after him, despite media speculation, which the player confirmed himself, last week.
Should this deal come off then it will mean that Stuart Webber will have managed to shift over £100k per week off the Norwich wage bill, in the last week alone. That`s over £5m a year, by my rudimentary mathematics.
