Hoolahan To Leave Norwich

|

Well,  it’s like they read my mind.

No sooner, have I posted a piece this morning urging Norwich City to sort out Wes Hoolahan’s future before the final home game of the season and they’ve only gone and done it.

The bad news is that Wes will leave the club at the end of the season, with Saturday’s home game against Leeds being his final game for the club he joined ten years ago – a long time in modern football.

A decision has been taken that he won’t be involved in the final game against Sheffield Wednesday so that he gets a special send-off which is what he deserves.

A testimonial will be announced in due course, sometime in the next 12 months, at a time and date to be confirmed.

As I wrote earlier, the word ”legend” is bandied about a lot these days but in Wes Hoolahan, we have a bona fide Norwich City legend.

Thank you, Wes. It’s been an absolute pleasure to watch you work.
