Savvy catches up with how James Vaughan is doing at Huddersfield Town…

Huddersfield Town`s Northern Irish midfielder has been talking about the impact on-loan City striker James Vaughan has had at the Championship club and backed him to carry on scoring.

Vaughan returned from a two-match suspension to fire Town up to 16th in the table with the 2-1 derby win at Leeds.

That took Vaughan`s goal haul to nine ahead of Saturday`s clash with Hull.

“The impact he`s (Vaughan) had since he`s been here is unbelievable.

“You can see what he brings to the team and how much it means to him. We may even have got a few more points on the board if he hadn`t been injured earlier in the season.

“And his finish for the winner at Leeds was brilliant. It was very Thierry Henry-esque. He had the confidence to take it with the inside of his foot and found the bottom corner.”

Let`s hope we more Thierry Henry-esque finishes from Vaughan when (and if) he returns to play in City colours. He certainly looked the part in pre season and the guys over at Vital Huddersfield are convinced that he is a player that can make an impact in the Premier League.
