The basis of this story is that Norwich may be forced to sell due to finances but would want to recoup at least the £8.5m that they paid Tottenham for him, eighteen months ago.

That’s easy to say but we have repeatedly heard that Norwich do not have to sell in the January window. IF it was decided to sell the player then, with transfer fees as they are, I would expect he’d be worth at least the £12m that Jacob Murphy went for and probably a bit more – especially in the winter window.

It’s worth bearing in mind that the likes of Pritchard and Maddison will have personal Premier League ambitions although they may wish for a bigger stage than Huddersfield – no offence, you Terriers!
