Stoke City manager, Mark Hughes has admitted while talking to Sky Sports that Nathan Redmond is a player that he would very much like to take to The Britannia Stadium.

Redmond was widely reported as being the subject of a £5m bid from Stoke yesterday, although if Hughes’ comments are anything to go by then that offer may have been knocked back.

‘There is an interest there. He is a good young player, a player that we like but he is not our player,” Hughes told Skysports. “He is Norwich`s player and they are well within their rights to retain the players that are under contract to them. There is nothing moving on that one at the moment so we just have to bide our time.”

So far, Norwich seem to have stuck to their guns about not selling anyone unless it’s just too much money to turn down ala, Robert Snodgrass or the loan offer for RvW.

I was pleased to read in The Telegraph report of this story yesterday that Norwich have been quoting ‘extortionate’ fees for their players when faced with enquiries, this summer.

Let’s keep that up eh?!
