In-Form Striker On Norwich City’s Radar

Norwich City are reportedly still keen on Hull City striker/winger Jarrod Bowen according to various media outlets and as reported here by the Pink ‘Un.

Bowen has been scoring goals with regularity for his current club, Hull City and he has 15 goals in 21 games this season.

The Tigers are currently 12th in the Championship, just three points off sixth placed Sheffield Wednesday, although they face a daunting trip to Leeds United tonight.

Normally, I’d imagine that for an English based player with that many goals and arguably the hottest forward in the Championship, would command a huge fee. However, Bowen is about to enter the last six months of his Hull City contract, meaning a deal could be done.

Bowen has previously declined new contract offers and could walk away for nothing in the summer, unless Hull activate the one year-option they are believed to have on the player, meaning that a smaller fee could perhaps secure him in the January window.

Assuming they do have that 12 month option, then they will almost certainly activate it and that would undoubtedly push the price up.

Whether or not Hull might just play hardball until the end of the window, because they sure as heck don’t want to sell their star man, especially as they are within touching distance of the top-six, could also be a factor.

Signing such a player would be a real coup for Norwich though, although Newcastle are also reportedly interested and at the moment which club would you choose to join?
