Harry Kane is looking forward to hopefully returning to action over the Christmas period…

On-loan striker Harry Kane has returned to the fray and added a huge dose of positivity as he looks forward to helping out over a gruelling festive period of five games in fifteen days.

Kane returned to training at Colney this week, and then stepped up his recovery on Monday afternoon, scoring twice in the Under-21`s victory over West Ham, as well as winning a penalty in an all-action display.

“It feels good; obviously the main thing is to be back playing and the foot is no problem so it`s just about getting minutes, as much time as I can, and then pushing into the first team. That`s the aim,” Kane told the official site.

“I went back to Spurs and had a good 10 weeks rehab there and I`m back here back training now and I`m just trying to get as fit as I can to try to get into the team.

“I felt good out there and I`ve had a good week`s training. A couple more weeks and I`d like to try and push on as much as I can. I feel good at the moment. Obviously my muscles are getting back used to it and we will just have to see how long it will be until I am back.”

Kane made his debut as a substitute in the goalless home draw with West Ham, before playing 50 minutes of the Cup clash with Doncaster Rovers. Kane is keen to get back playing and has paid homage to the excellent form his colleagues have been in.

“They are on fire and it`s great for the club,” Kane told the club`s website. “The lads are doing great and it`s great to come back into a team doing so well. Training has been good and hopefully we can keep winning and getting get as many points as we can. The boys have always been confident in their ability and now they`re getting wins it`s even better. The lads are up for it, training is sharp and it`s going well.”

Adding another striker into the squad to keep everyone on their toes never does any harm at all. Kane may not be first choice, but he will be eager to show us all what he can do over the next few weeks and will hopefully get a chance or two on the pitch.
