Norwich City Captain, Russell Martin is likely to return to the squad ahead of the Canaries’ trip to Arsenal tomorrow (5.30pm).

Martin missed the Sunderland defeat due to a virus but with Andre Wisdom confirmed as having returned to Liverpool for rehabilitation, with his season now over due to an injury picked up in that game, the Captain’s return is timely.

Speaking exclusively to Norwich City TV, Alex Neil said: ‘Russell will be in contention which is good for us.’

Neil also confirmed that Timm Klose will miss the rest of the season and as I write, the EDP’s Paddy Davitt has tweeted that big Timm will also miss Euro 2016 – a huge blow for the lad.

Neil added: ‘It’s going to be a slow process for him.’

‘His knee isn’t going to be right between now and the end of the season. We need to come to terms with that and move on.

‘It gives somebody else a chance to come in.’

I would expect Seb Bassong and Ryan Bennett to now play at centre back with Martin at right back for the remainder of the season, barring further injuries, of course.
