According to reports in Germany, Timm Klose has discussed a potential move back to the Bundesliga with Hamburg.

The story is being carried by German national, Bild and is reported here by our very own EDP

Bild are claiming that Timm has spoken to Hamburg`s director of football Dietmar Beiersdorfer and head coach Markus Gisdol over the potential move next month.

Things have gone sour for Timm at Norwich with the Swiss international having made 25 appearances since joining the Canaries from Wolfsburg for a reported £7m almost a year ago.

In the summer, he was happy to stay and fight to help a promotion challenge but a rumoured fall out with Alex Neil has seen him benched for the last couple of months. Those rumours gained more credibility with me yesterday when a mate confirmed the fallout via a neighbour of Timm’s and he reckons he’s hacked off with the whole situation.

Again, it’s only hearsay but my mate has no reason to lie and he trusts his friend.

So, it seems that due to a personality clash, City are possibly about to sell the best centre back at the club and soldier on with Ryan Bennett and the liability that is Seb Bassong.

Klose is by far the best centre back at the club and Neil’s explanation that Bassong and Bennett are physically stronger doesn’t wash with me. I know what I see with my own eyes and that is ridiculous. I’d rather he play Russell Martin than Bassong who has made plenty of defensive lapses since coming into the team in place of Timm.

Having boxed himself into a corner though, it’s either Martin or Michael Turner next in line.

What a world.
