Lambert Eyes Norwich Player To Help With Ipswich Relegation Battle

|

Paul Lambert is reportedly keeping tabs on Norwich City’s winger/right back, Ben Marshall with a view to a loan deal in January.

This was reported by The Sun On Sunday (paper edition page 59) yesterday.

The Sun reports that Lambert will go back to his old club in an attempt to arrange a loan deal for the 27-year-old former Blackburn and Wolves winger, in January.

The two men do, of course, know each other from Lambert’s time in charge of Blackburn Rovers and that’s the obvious link between them.

In terms of Marshall’s chances of getting any game time at Carrow Road, in the short term that looks highly unlikely due to the form of Max Aarons at right back and that of Emi Buendia on the right of midfield.

A long-term injury could change Marshall’s first team chances at any point though and that’s before you take into consideration the prospect of a Norwich player actually helping Ipswich Town to survive the very serious threat of relegation that they currently face.

Not for me, if I was Stuart Webber I wouldn’t be loaning Ben to that lot down the A140.
