Academy youngster Louis Ramsey has been sent on a season long loan to Woking who play in the National League (formerly the Conference), the 5th tier of English football.

Ramsey is yet to break into the first team but, by all accounts, is one for the future as he has recently been given an improved Norwich City contract.

Webber has clearly indicated that they want to see more return on their £3m annual investment into the academy, so it seems sensible to give youngsters the opportunity to play at the highest level possible, even if that means away from Carrow Road for a while.

With Zimmerman, Franke and Husband bolstering the defence it would appear that Ramsey’s chances of breaking into the first team will be limited and he may well have to wait a year or two to be even considered.

He should excel in the National League and hopefully can help Woking improve on last year’s disappointing finish of 18th – conceding 80 goals!

Good luck Louis
