Maddison Injury Not As Serious As First Thought

|

You can stop mopping your brow, James Maddison has not done his Anterior Cruciate Ligament a scan has revealed.

Norwich City’s player of the season was substituted after just ten minutes of Sunday’s game at Hillsborough with fears of a serious injury. After the game, Madders came onto the pitch to applaud the travelling City fans but he was wearing a big, protective knee brace and he was on crutches.

Maddison will not require an operation and is set to be out for around eight weeks. That means, assuming he hasn’t been sold by then, that he could return to the Canaries’ pre-season just one week after it starts.

If you’re not a follower of social media, then you won’t have seen the wailing and the gnashing of teeth that has gone on among some City fans, who’ve been predicting nothing but doom if Maddison was going to be out for six months or even longer.

You can all relax people, the Golden Goose is alive and well.

On a serious note, it is good news and if you’re reading this James, get well soon fella.
