Man City Winger Set For Medical Ahead Of Norwich City Loan

|

Manchester City Winger, Patrick Roberts is set to join Norwich City on a season-long loan according to The Sun, which is ironic because one of Mick Dennis’ mates accused me of being “worse than The Sun” earlier this morning.

The story is also being reported by the EDP with this looking and sounding like a solid report.

The 22-year-old has spent last season on-loan in Spain with Girona where he had a rather underwhelming time, managing just 6 starts in 21 appearances and with no goals.

However, in the three seasons before that, he was on-loan at Celtic where he won three SPL titles and managed 18 goals and 26 assists from his 78 appearances.

Roberts can play wide on either flank or in the middle as a number 10 and should add some quality, competition and strength in the forward positions.

He joined Manchester City from Fulham, having come through the Cottager’s academy, in 2014 for £12m.

A mate of mine is a Fulham fan and he has nothing but praise for Roberts, who has perhaps suffered from joining Manchester City, where game time is hard to come by for even the world’s best players. With Raheem Sterling, Leroy Sane and Riyad Mahrez all ahead Of him in the pecking order there, another loan looks best all round.

I really could see this happening and despite The Sun being the source, and I know what Mick’s mate thinks of them, this seems as legit as anything can be at this time of the year.
