Norwich City will welcome back Captain Russell Martin and winger Nathan Redmond for Saturday’s huge game at Selhurst Park against Crystal Palace.
“Russell should be fine,” Alex Neil told the assembled press at Colney on Friday. “He`s done a couple of days work with us and we`re hoping he should be okay for the game.”
As for Redmond, he is also fit and raring to go with City having a near fully fit squad heading into the final six games. Redmond was a surprise substitute against Newcastle last week.
“I think it would have been too soon to start but certainly now after having another week of training under his belt, he`ll be back to normal,” Neil added, speaking to Norwich City TV.
A Norwich win at Selhurst Park would drag the Eagles into the relegation battle and put Norwich seven points clear of Sunderland with the Black Cats not playing Leicester until Sunday lunchtime.
“If we win the game then they`re level on points with us,” Neil continued, having learned that he had won the League Managers Association`s LG Performance of the Week Award for that amazing win over Newcastle.
“I know they`ve got a game in hand but when you`ve gone 14 games without a win as they have done then searching for that elusive win becomes more and more difficult.
“So it`s up to us go there and play as well as we can and hopefully come out of the game with something – and if that`s three points then that would be fantastic.”
