Remi Matthews looks set to extend his loan at Plymouth Argyle on a week to week basis according to Argyle manager Derek Adams
Remi joined League One Plymouth on an emergency week long loan on Friday, due to long term injuries to all three of Plymouth`s senior goalkeepers.
He kept a clean sheet on his debut in the 0-1 win over Wimbledon yesterday and played well, as Adams told the Plymouth Herald.
“I don`t see any speed in any of three goalkeepers coming back. Te Loeke and Letheren are long-term.
“Luke McCormick is looking like a long-term one as well.”
The Herald understands that Argyle will re-sign Remi on a week to week basis until such time as the goalkeeping situation improves but that looks being a while off yet.
Adams added: “Remi was excellent. He has got very good hands, is a good kicker of the ball, talks and is composed.”
With Gunn and McGovern in his way at Norwich, regular league football for a goal keeper is a valuable thing and can only be good for all parties.
Best of luck, Remi.
