Now then, here`s that dream story we’ve all beeen looking for, that links us with a big name striker in the form of AS Roma`s Mattia Destro. Corriere dello Sport are reporting that the 24yr old Italian International does not have a future at the Stadio Olimipico and will be sold this summer.

Roma have already moved to bring Edin Dzeko in from Manchester City and that deal looks set to be completed any day now. Having loaned him out to AC Milan last January, Destro could soon be on the move.

Destro scored 24 goals in 57 appearances (33 starts) for Roma and has eight full caps for Italy, scoring one goal.

Corriere dello Sport`s story states that Bologna are also interested but the Serie A newcomers cannot match the salary being offered by Norwich City who are reported by Corriere dello Sport to have submitted a formal offer for the player.

I`d love it if this was true but in all honesty, it seems unlikely to me that we would be looking to sign such a high profile player – probably another Juan Quintero style rumour. Don`t get your hopes up but feel free to keep your fingers crossed.
