Carlton Morris has been confirmed as joining Shrewsbury Town on a season long loan Norwich City have announced

Morris has joined his fellow Canary, Ebou Adams in joining the Shrews for valuable first team experience next season.

Carlton is 21 now and it strikes me as though he could be in the last chance saloon, in terms of making an impact at Norwich City. At that age, he is no longer a boy and really needs to be playing regularly.

Daniel Farke has obviously had the opportunity to see him up close and he has decided that he is not going to be in his plans for the forthcoming season. The lad is under contract until 2020 at Norwich but unless he has some sort of stellar season at Shrewsbury in League One, I can`t see him making it here.

His departure makes me think that we are now in the market for a new striker. Stuart Webber has already alluded to the possible arrival of a striker that is different in terms of what we already have at the club and I`m expecting that will now happen.

Good luck Carlton, you really need to set League One alight.
