Norwich City ran out as 0-2 winners on Wednesday evening as they beat MSV Duisburg in the first pre-season match of their German tour.

A strong City team saw off the newly promoted Bundesliga II side who rather unusually, had a man sent off in a friendly game. Gerrit Nauber Saw red after bringing down Nelson Oliveira on 27 minutes.

The home side had to play over an hour with only ten men and that told as they eventually ran out of steam.

Duisburg kept things very tight but were eventually undone on 58 minutes when Oliveira scored from inside the box. Five minutes later and the game was done when Oliveira saw a lob shot palmed into his own net by the Duisburg keeper, although Oliveira insisted it was an own goal after the game.
