New Year`s Eve is seeing a lot of speculation on Twitter that Norwich are about to let Steven Naismith join Kilmarnock.
Several people I follow including @CanaryScots are tweeting that up in Scotland there are reports on the radio that Naismith is close to re-joining Kilmarnock, his first club.
I know that there`s not a huge amount of substance to most of what you read on Twitter and there is no official source on this, other than a lot of growing speculation.
Another tweet reports that the source is the BBC`s Sport Sound but not having access to Scottish radio, I can`t say for sure.
The leap to Naismith returning to Scotland is an easy one to make, after the comments he made last week about wanting to play and wanting to return north of the border to finish his playing career.
One other interesting aside to this is that Norwich were last week linked with Killie`s winger, Jordan Jones – a bit of a swap deal going on?
UPDATE: looks like this is a stand down, I`m afraid – journalist David Wren has tweeted tonight (@DWren6) “Understand Naismith to Killie just speculation. No contact between player and club.”
As Liam Gallagher would say “As you were…”
