Norwich 0 – 1 Stoke: The Vital Statistics

|

Norwich City were frustrated in their attempts to make it nine games unbeaten when they were narrowly beaten by a Timm Klose own goal against Stoke City at Carrow Road on Saturday.

If you’re a Stoke fan then I’m sure you’ll be pretty pleased with this win. You’ll have travelled a long way, seen your team outplayed for long periods and come away with all three points, which ultimately is all that matters.

Norwich dominated the ball with a possession rate of 68% but due to the visitors dropping so deep after going ahead, shots on target were few and far between. The Canaries only managed three all game, just one better than Stoke.

This was a game that Norwich didn’t deserve to lose but ultimately, they did. They showed again that they can dominate, even against what is basically a Premier League squad, so fingers crossed that after the international break they can continue in this vein of form.

If they do, then I’m confident that the results will keep coming.
