Norwich Agree Striker Loan?

|

Norwich City have agreed a deal with Sheffield Wednesday to take Jordan Rhodes on loan for the forthcoming season, according to HITC Sport.

This afternoon, we reported that this was a deal that could easily still happen and happen quickly, according to journalist, Alan Biggs.

This has been on and off for around a fortnight now, with the initial report being that Wednesday wanted Norwich to pay a £3m loan fee and that was before paying any wages.

Obviously that was never going to be a starter for ten, so it seems that negotiations have been going on behind closed doors. Last Friday, Radio Norfolk’s Rob Butler tweeted that he understood that Rhodes was on his way to Norfolk for talks but that then was dismissed 12 hours later by a story from the Sheffield Star in which they reported that the financial side of the deal was still not agreed.

HITC Sport are claiming that Rhodes will now travel to Norfolk for talks and a medical.

We’ve been here before, very recently, haven’t we Mr Butler?

We’ll see, but this sounds promising from HITC, who are generally quite accurate with their reporting.
