Norwich Bid For Scottish Midfielder Accepted

|

Motherwell have accepted a bid from Norwich City for their 17-year-old starlet, Reece McAlear reports The Scottish Sun.

This is a story that broke a day or so ago with Sun Sport now stating that an initial fee of around £250,000 has been accepted. The deal will naturally include a number of add-ons and probably a sell-on fee too, as is the way when a club has to sell it’s top young talent.

Motherwell accepting the Canaries’ bid now means that the player is able to head to Norfolk for talks. That will include a tour of the facilities both at Colney and at Carrow Road as well as the financial package on offer before McAlear will have to decide whether to sign for Norwich or not.

In all likelihood, he wouldn’t be coming to talk unless he was interested in signing, although David Turnbull did exactly that a month or so ago before deciding that he would rather join Celtic – just saying!

I can’t honestly tell you too much about young Reece, other than he has one year left on his Motherwell deal and that he played for the club’s U20 side when he was just 15.
