Stoke City have turned down a £1.5m bid from Norwich for their forward, Jon Walters.

The Republic of Ireland international wants a new three year deal with The Potters but negotiations are stalling over Stoke only offering the player a two year deal. The 31yr old has one year left on his contract and could leave the Britannia this transfer window, it seems.

The Telegraph report that Stoke immediately dismissed The Canaries’ opening offer, which I must say is pretty low. The fact that Walters played for Ipswich for three years prior to moving to Stoke and gets booed and called ‘scum’ whenever he comes to Carrow Road make this a curious offer.

He is a very hard working player though and fits the Alex Neil mould, I would suggest.

One thing is for certain though, he will now score tomorrow against us.
