Both Norwich City and Sunderland have been charged by the FA for failing to control their players and officials during Saturday’s game at Carrow Road.
A statement on the FA website reads:
‘Norwich City and Sunderland have been charged following their game on Saturday [16 April 2016].
It is alleged that in or around the fourth minute of the fixture, both clubs failed to ensure their players and/or officials conducted themselves in an orderly fashion.
Norwich and Sunderland have until 6pm on 21 April 2016 to respond to the charge.’
Very much handbags at dawn, although the Sunderland bench reacted terribly and engulfed Robbie Brady.
Yes, Brady’s challenge on Yedlin wasn’t great but it was hardly worthy of the response from the Black Cats’ bench, led by their manager, I might add.
That of course prompted the City bench to get involved to protect Brady.
The fact Yedlin got up, was fine and took the resulting free kick says it all.
