Ladies and Gentlemen, Norwich City are now officially on a Cup run.
Having beaten Burnley at Turf Moor on Saturday, the Canaries have booked their place in the fifth round of the FA Cup which will be drawn on Monday evening. They will be ball number 11 in the draw which will take place on BBC One at about 7.20pm. Should they get into the sixth round, it will be the first time that the club have managed that in thirty odd years.

Daniel Farke played a fairly strong side here, which was just as well because so did Burnley who started both Chris Wood and JayRodriguez. There was a debut start for Josip Drmic, mostly due to injuries, who got the second goal of the game after Captain Grant Hanley had put the Canaries into the lead early in the second half.

There were plenty of positives out of this game in which City were the better side for most of it. Decent performances from Mario Vrancic, Lukas Rupp and Marco Stiepermann, who put in the sort of performance here that he was regularly producing in the Championship last season, helped to keep Norwich on the front foot with the back four looking solid and Ralf Fahrmann looking generally confident between the sticks too.
There was a surprise inclusion on the bench for eighteen-year-old, Academy forward, Josh Martin with no place for Adam Idah. Idah had been expected to travel and probably play but after the game, Daniel Farke explained that due to the strengths of Drmic and Teemu Pukki, he decided to take Martin as a winger option instead, which he conceded was harsh on Idah.
Moritz Leitner was also a notable absentee but again, Farke insisted that his absence was purely down to strong competition in the squad.
All of that conjecture matters not though, City are into the last sixteen in the FA Cup, itโs been a while since weโve been able to get excited about cup games.
Well done for lifting our weekend, Norwich City.
