Norwich City Keen On Norwegian International Keeper

|

Norwich City are interested in signing Norwegian international goalkeeper, Orjan Nyland reports the Eastern Daily Press.

Nyland left Aston Villa in October by mutual consent after slipping down the pecking order at Villa Park after Dean Smith made the decision to sign Emiliano Martinez from Arsenal for a rumoured £10m fee, a fee that has looked to be a comparative snip so far due to some excellent performances in the Premier League – he’s been my keeper in the Fantasy Premier League all season.

Nyland meanwhile, made 23 appearances for Villa in their 2018/19 promotion season, so he knows all about the Championship and he would clearly make an experienced backup to Tim Krul. Currently without a club, the former Ingolstadt keeper has recently recovered from back surgery and is reportedly ready to play again, as he awaits an opportunity as a free agent.

I suppose the only question lies with how keen he would be to challenge Tim Krul as the City number one? There is apparently interest in him from other clubs but surely he’d fancy it, seeing as he is without at club at the moment and bearing in mind that he would be joining a club who have lofty ambitions and could well be a Premier League club again in five months time.
