Norwich City Still In Chase For Liverpool Starlet

|

Norwich City are among a host of clubs chasing Liverpool youngster, Harry Wilson according to the Liverpool Echo.

Another player at Liverpool that is also sure to attract attention is 18 year old striker, Ben Woodburn and with Norwich clearly still looking for another forward, he could also be of interest to City.

However, Reds’ manager, Jurgen Klopp is involving both players in pre-season and will give them every opportunity to shine before deciding their future.

Striker, Woodburn and winger, Wilson both started in Liverpool’s 7-0 friendly win over Chester, with Wilson scoring twice in the first half.

Celtic have asked about taking Wilson on loan but have been knocked back. Celtic blotted their copybook with several Premier League clubs over their treatment of Patrick Roberts (Man City) and Charley Musonda (Chelsea) last season. Both players were loaned to Celtic and both struggled for game time, something that was duly noted by a number of Premier League clubs.

It is believed that a loan move to a Championship side, for both players, is in Klopp’s mind if they don’t stay with his squad. It does seems highly likely that both will be loaned out as the strength in depth of the Liverpool squad is going to make it mighty difficult for these young lads to play regularly at Anfield.

This article from the Echo names both Sheffield United and Norwich City as being two of the club’s interested in Wilson. Maybe we’re taking a look at Woodburn too.
