Norwich Go Clear At The Top With Stunning Win Over Millwall

“They haven’t won here for fifty years” said the bloke that sits behind me at the end of an incredible game of football. “Looks like it’ll be at least fifty one eh?!” he added as he made his way out of a rocking Carrow Road.

We had both stayed behind at the end, with a large portion of the crowd, to applaud and cheer off our heroes after what was simply a sensational victory over Millwall.

I’ll write more about my feelings during and after the game tomorrow but for now, it’s great to be enjoying a Saturday evening before an international break, safe in the knowledge that Norwich have gone clear at the top of the Championship table.

Sheffield United could only draw with their steel city rivals on Friday night (I really hope someone mentioned to Chris Wilder that Norwich put four past them last week) and Leeds were on the wrong end of a 4-1 drubbing at West Brom.

A disallowed goal, another missed penalty, going 2-1 up on 79 minutes and then being 2-3 down on 83 minutes, equalising again on 92 minutes and then winning it on 97 minutes – simply astonishing.

The Canaries will now fly off for warm weather training to Tampa Bay with a big smile on their collective faces, although not as big as the smiles on the faces of the Canary Nation.
