Norwich In The Hunt For Swedish Striker

|

Norwich City are in the hunt for Swedish international striker, Isaac Kiese Thelin according to reports in Belgium and Denmark and reported here by the pinkun.com.

Thelin currently plays for Anderlecht under Vincent Kompany but has struggled for game time, alerting several clubs to his availability. It seems that FC Cogenhagen and Bundesliga side Paderborn are also keen and that Thelin would be allowed to leave Anderlecht in the January window either on loan or permanently.

This lad is 27-years-old and he’s 6’2” tall, suggesting that he would provide a different option to current first choice and all round goal scoring superstar hero, Teemu Pukki.

He has 29 senior appearances for Sweden but only 3 goals in that time.

Thelin signed for Anderlecht in 2017 and spent 2017-18 on-loan with Belgian top flight side Waasland Beveren where he scored 16 goals in 25 appearances.

That form caught the eye of Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen and get was loaned to the Bundesliga side last season but he spent most of his time on the bench there, managing just 6 appearances. Former Leeds forward, Kemar Roofe is first choice at Anderlecht so Thelin could leave the Belgian Champions this month.

This doesn’t sound too inspiring although I imagine most of us thought that when Teemu Pukki was announced…
